A closet with three switches and a proper data hall with hot/cold aisles need very different temperature and humidity thresholds, and the defaults split the difference badly for both.
Let a new sensor report for at least a few days, ideally across a full day/night and HVAC cycle, before setting alert thresholds; a threshold set on day one is often just whatever the room happened to read at that moment.
Both too-dry and too-humid conditions are real risks (static discharge on one end, condensation on the other); set both a low and high threshold rather than only alerting on excess humidity.
An IDF closet doesn't need the same tight band as a primary data hall. Group sensors by the criticality of the space they're in, and set proportionally looser thresholds for lower-stakes locations so alerts stay meaningful.
