Linivo quickstart: from signup to your first detection

The fastest path from a new Linivo account to a sensor reporting live telemetry and its first detection.

What you'll need

  • A Linivo account with Editor or Admin role
  • A sensor deployed on your network (see the next guide if you haven't done this yet)
  • One test device with SNMP or SSH enabled
1

Deploy a sensor

Every Linivo workspace needs at least one sensor: a small on-prem or virtual appliance that talks to your devices and forwards encrypted telemetry to Linivo Cloud. Install it as a Docker container, VM appliance, or Linux package; the setup wizard gives you a one-line install command and a pairing token.

2

Confirm the sensor is online

Once installed, the sensor registers itself automatically. Give it a minute, then check Settings > Sensors for a green "Connected" status before moving on.

3

Add your first device

Head to Devices and click Add device. Give it a name, its management IP, and a protocol; most teams start with SNMP v2c or v3 since it needs no agent installed.

4

Watch it appear on the dashboard

Within a minute of saving, the device should report its first metrics. Within a few more, the same feed starts scoring for anomalies; if it stays gray, jump to the device-unreachable troubleshooting guide.
