Bank-level PDU monitoring tells you a rack's total draw. Outlet-level monitoring tells you which specific device is drawing it.
Switched PDUs let you remotely power-cycle an outlet but don't measure its draw; metered PDUs do both. Check the model number against your vendor's spec sheet if you're not sure which you have.
Under the device's settings in Linivo, turn on per-outlet metrics. This adds one data series per outlet rather than one per PDU, so it's worth doing selectively on racks where you actually need that granularity.
Outlet-level data is only useful if outlet 14 means something to you at 3am. Name each outlet after the device plugged into it, either in the PDU's own firmware or in Linivo's device notes.
